titleOfInvention Process for the catalytic combustion of gases in an oxidation reactor at a controlled pressure
abstract In a process for the pressure-controlled catalytic combustion of combustible gases, such as hydrogen or the like. With oxygen in an oxidation reactor, it is proposed that one of the two reactants fed into the oxidation reactor be fed in excess until the outlet pressure (P₀) in the reactor a predetermined overpressure (P₂) has risen that after reaching the pressure value (P₂) the supply of the partner supplied in excess is blocked for a period (Δ t₁) in which the pressure drops to a value (P₁ <P₂) that after Reaching the pressure value (P₁) the blocked excess partner is fed again (Δ t₂) until the pressure (P₂) is reached again and that these steps are carried out in succession.
