titleOfInvention | A fuel cell electrolyte matrix and a method for its manufacture |
abstract | A fuel cell electrolyte matrix is used by mixing 6 to 60 parts by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene with 40 to 94 parts by weight of a mixed powder consisting essentially of 10 to 70 wt % inorganic powder capable of forming a metal phosphate and 30 to 90 wt % phosphoric-acid-resistant inorganic powder, forming said mixture into a sheet having a porous structure, impregnating said sheet with phosphoric acid, and heat-treating the sheet so that the said inorganic powder, capable of forming a metal phosphate, is converted into a metal phosphate. |
