abstract The invention relates to a method for producing samples for the determination of impurities in metals and steels. The method according to the invention is essentially characterized in that a sample blank is cut out of the cast product, the thickness extension lying in a plane parallel to the casting axis or the main direction of deformation of the product, and this blank is then deformed to the thickness required for the examination after heating.
