abstract A process for the preparation of a stable cell line for the production of a specific protein, by the induction of tumours in transgenic animals and the selection of the progeny which has developed tumours. In a variant, the sequence coding for the protein is introduced into transgenic animals, the progeny which has incorporated the sequence is selected and the lymphocytes from the spleen of these animals is fused with myeloma cells. In the two variants the cell lines derived from the tumours produce proteins which are especially of interest in therapeutics.
