abstract | The composite material has a support layer of noble metal which contains at least 20 % by weight silver and 20 % by weight palladium, and the total of the weight of palladium and silver is at least 50 % by weight. The support layer is bonded via a silanising layer to a plastic layer. A heat-protecting layer is arranged between the support layer containing noble metal and the silanising layer and is composed of a metal of the group comprising tin, chromium, copper, silver, nickel, zinc or gold. The heat-protecting layer is applied to the support layer by electrolysis before application of the silanising layer which contains silicon or silicon oxide. |
