Imaging material and an image-forming process |
abstract |
An imaging material comprises a support and a layer of photosensitive microparticles on one surface of the support. The microparticles include an image-forming agent such as a dye or a colour precursor, and a photosensitive composition containing a depolymerizable polymer such as a polyaldehyde. By exposing the microparticles to radiation, they release the image-forming agent or become permeable to a developer which reacts with the image-forming agent to form a visible image. |
