A composite material which includes a polyester resin as a nmatrix and comminuted expanded polyurethane, dispersed within nthe matrix. The composite material includes at least one fibrous nre-inforcing material dispersed within the matrix. The fibrous nmaterial may be selected from the group consisting in glass nfibres, carbon fibres, polyamide fibres, cotton fibres and/or nwool fibres. The composite material also includes at least one nadditive admixed with the resin, to impart desired properties to nthe composite material. The additive is selected from the group nconsisting in magnesium silicide, talc, graphite, carbon black, nsilica, kaolin, acid-resistant resinous material, a fire-nretardant, thixotropic agent, and a pigment. |
