abstract There are new β-fluoroacyl-β-halovinylalkyl ethers of the general formula (I) provided, in which R¹ represents a fluorinated alkyl radical having 1 to 9 carbon atoms, Hal represents a halogen atom and R² represents an alkyl radical having 1 to 7 carbon atoms.n n n Furthermore, a new process for the preparation of the compounds of the formula (I) is provided, in which a β-fluoroacyl vinyl alkyl ether of the formula (II) R¹-CO-CH = CH-OR² (II) wherein R¹ and R² have the meaning given above, with a halogenating agent at temperatures from -70 ° C. to + 80 ° C., optionally in the presence of a diluent, the resulting halogenation product of the general formula (III) optionally isolated and dehydrohalogenated at a temperature from -20 ° C to + 100 ° C.n n n The new compounds of formula (I) can e.g. can be used as intermediates for the synthesis of insecticidally active substituted phenylpyrazole compounds.
