abstract | The invention relates to an additive for drilling fluids in the deep drilling industry, containing an organometallic compound of titanium, zircon or vanadium with humic acid and a further organic radical, selected from at least one representative of the group of fatty acid alkoxylates, fatty alcohol polyalkylene glycol ethers, long-chain amine alkoxylates, which are optionally substituted with a hydroxyl group are water-insoluble polyalkoxylates and fatty acids, these being optionally applied to an inorganic carrier. The additive prevents the drilling fluid from flowing into the porous formation, so it is a so-called "fluid loss additive". The additive can be prepared by reacting a metal alcoholate with an organic group-providing compound and humic acid or a product containing humic acid. The additive is used to produce a drilling fluid that is protected against loss of drilling fluid. |
