The harness has at least one extendable strap, the ends of which are connected to the mask and which comprises an element which is inflatable by a gas under pressure to extend the strap to a determined size, sufficient to allow the user to engage the strap on the head, and having manual control means (18) for admitting pressurized gas into said element to lengthen it and to drain this element to allow the strap to be applied against the head and to hold the mask . The manual control means comprise a switch (32, 39) allowing at will to empty the inflatable element or to maintain therein a determined intermediate gas pressure, lower than the full inflation pressure. |
