The treatment of agricultural wastewater, in particular manure, is described by a multi-stage process, the solids being first separated mechanically by filtration, decanting or centrifuging and the remaining liquid being treated with a reaction separating agent which consists of lime, bentonites, electrolytes and flocculants, after the liquid has previously been treated with an environmentally compatible dicarboxylic acid, such as adipic acid, and after the precipitation has been separated off, two aftertreatments with activated carbon and bleaching earth take place, whereupon it is treated again with an agent containing bentonite, talc and flocculant, the solid is separated off and the resultant contaminants largely freed filtrate is trickled. |
