abstract | In the process and the device, the container (3) made of dielectric material, the contents of which consist of a product to be sterilized (3a) and a layer of air (3b), is placed directly over one (6a) of the two electrodes (6a-5) connected to a high-voltage a.c. generator and at a frequency of less than 3000 H2. One of the electrodes is masked by a coating (5a) of dielectric material which distributes the discharges. The electrodes (5-5) and (6a) base smooth polished surfaces and the distance E between them is equal to the weight H of the container increased by 0 to 5 cm. This device can sterilize all products, liquids, gases, powders, edible or not, placed in a dielectric material impenetrable by bacteria, such as water, jam, pâtés, dressings, compresses, flat-walled containers, etc. |
