In a method of manufacturing an oxide superconductive nmaterial, yttrium-3-ethyl-3-pentoxide and nbarium-3-ethyl-3-pentoxide are prepared as alkoxides of nyttrium and barium. Copper-2-ethylhexanoate, being a ncarboxylate of copper, is added to the alkoxides to nprovide a raw material compound. A solvent obtained by nmixing t-heptanol and p-xylene in the ratio of 1:5 is nadded to the raw material compound, to prepare a solution ncontaining the raw material compound. Water is added to nthe solution thus obtained, which is then stirred to cause nhydrolysis and dehydration/condensation reaction, and nthereafter the solution is coated on a substrate of npolycrystal YSZ. A coating film formed on the substrate nis fired, so that a superconductive layer of Y-Ba-Cu-O noxide is formed on the surface of the substrate. |
