titleOfInvention Phenylacetylene-substituted schiff's base momomers and electroconductive polymers
abstract Novel mono- or difunctional phenylacetylene-substituted Schiff's base nmonomers useful in the preparation of electrically conducting polymers is ndisclosed. On heating, these monomers melt to a viscous liquid state, and non continued heating above about 300°C polymerize to form an electrically ninsulating thermoset polymer. On further post-cure heat treatment, the npolymer becomes electroconductive showing a bulk conductivity of at least n10⁻² S/cm.
