titleOfInvention | Macromolecule construction methods |
abstract | The computer-aided process allows the construction of a chain of polypeptides having a substantially predetermined conformation (2110). Preferably, a well-known, stable and well-known polypeptide structure is used as a starting point (2120), and additional peptide units are added (2140) while retaining the enthalpy and antropic contributions favorable to stability (2160) . Preferably, an oligopeptide block library is used to provide candidates for the additional peptide units. Preferably, the library comprises numerous parameters precomputed by computer for each of the blocks, p. ex. parameters to estimate the energy effects of variation of the parameters of conformation. |
