In a curved particle path section, the synchrotron radiation source contains a magnetic device with superconducting coil windings, which lie on both sides of the particle path surrounded by a beam guiding chamber, and an outlet opening of the beam guiding chamber for the synchrotron radiation leading radially or tangentially to the outside. In addition, a device for mechanically fixing the superconducting coil windings is provided. According to the invention, this fixing device on the peripheral outer edge of the magnet device (3) should have at least one support element (40), which acts radially further outwards than the outlet opening (13) for the synchrotron radiation (14) and acts essentially perpendicular to the radiation direction and passes through the synchrotron radiation (14) a radiation absorber (46) is covered. With such a support element, simple and secure support of the superconducting coil windings in the area of the radiation exit is to be ensured. |
