titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for electrochemical detection
abstract Method and device for the electrochemical detection of solutions containing substances to be analyzed with the aid of an electrochemical detector which has a detector cell (13) which has a working electrode (33) which is in contact with the through a passage chamber (31) of the detector cell (13) flowing solution, has a measuring electrode (15) for measuring the electrolyte potential and an auxiliary electrode (17,22,27) for applying a potential to the electrolyte. With the help of the auxiliary electrode (17,22,27), a potential difference required for the electrolysis is generated between the electrolyte and the working electrode (33). The electrolysis current which arises at the working electrode (33) is taken off as an analysis measured value. The electrical potential instantaneous value of the electrolyte is measured in the local area of the working electrode (33) and the working electrode potential is controlled as a function of the measured instantaneous potential value.
