titleOfInvention Composite material for protective clothing against splashing of melting metals
abstract The complex material is intended for making clothing capable of protecting against splashes of molten materials and more particularly of molten metals in the metallurgical industry. These splashes usually cause severe burns that can lead to death. No current material meets the efficiency requirements. It consists of an assembly of three superimposed layers of fabrics having specific characteristics: the first layer, intended to constitute the outer part of the garment, has a relatively smooth surface condition and comprises at least one fabric, mainly composed of thermostable fibers or flame retardant, having a high cover factor; the second, intermediate layer is bulky and airy in structure; and the third layer, intended to constitute the interior part of the garment, is not very thick and light.
