abstract The present invention relates to 8-azaxanthine derivatives having the general formula:n wherein R₁ = H; C n H 2n+1 wherein n = 1 or 3; nR₂ = C n H 2n+1 wherein n = 1 or 5; or C₆H₅-; nZ is the group:n wherein R₃ = R₄ = CH₃ or C₂H₅, or wherein R₃ and R₄ are such groups as to complete together a heterocyclic ring; and wherein the substitution in the triazole ring concerns the positions 7 or 8 or 9; nas well as their salts which are physiologically acceptable, their pharmaceutical compositions and the process for preparing the same.
