Compounds of the general formula (1)n in which nn is 1 or 2; nm is 2-5 and X is -CH=CH- or -CH₂-CH₂-; or m is 1-4 and X is -CH=C=CH-; nR¹ is phenyl, substituted phenyl or naphthyl; nY is substituted or unsubstituted 3-phenoxy-2-hydroxypropyl. n These compounds inhibit gastric acid secretion and provide gastrointestinal cytoprotection, and may be formulated for use in the treatment of ulcers. |
