The present invention relates to methods for selective measurement of aromatic amino acids or branched-chain amino acids, which are characterized by coupling plural enzymes containing those specific for aromatic amino acids or containing those specific for branched-chain amino acids, respectively, to a sample, to produce hydrogen peroxide, and then measuring said hydrogen peroxide. By using the present methods, it is possible to measure the ratio of all or individual aromatic amino acids to branched-chain amino acids in a sample, and it can be utilized in judgement of the degree of liver damage and in monitor of amino acid in the therapy by amino acids-infusion. |
