abstract System for irradiating liquids by means of radioactive beams, in which a tube (1) provided with an inlet and outlet connector (4, 5) is surrounded by an envelope (2) composed of a material for shielding against radiation. In the tube (1) is located a radiating source (6) for the production of radiation. The tube (1) is designed to be essentially rectilinear. In the tube (1) are located, starting from the radiation source (6) in the direction of the connections (4, 5), formed elements (10, 12, 14, 15) made of radiation shielding material , which prevent the exit of radiation by the fittings (4, 5). The formed elements (10, 12, 14, 15) leave a labyrinth-shaped channel for the passage of the liquid.
