abstract |
Metabolic conversion to L-tyrosine is carried out in an L-tryptophan-producing strain belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium by having the L-tryptophan-producing strain carry a recombinant DNA containing a DNA fragment that bears genetic information responsible for synthesis of 3-deoxy-D-arabino-hepturosonate-7-phosphate synthase and chorismate mutase. The transformant produces a large amount of L-tyrosine upon culturing in a medium. |
