Immortalized virus-specific tissue cells |
abstract |
An immortalized human tissue cell line is formed by fusing a selected non-lymphocytic human or non-human primate tissue cell with an immortalizing human / mouse hybridoma cell. The tissue cell as well as the cell line resulting from the fusion are infected or may be infected with a selected viral agent, which allows the identification of surface antigens of viral-specific cells and their use as a source for producing virally specific antigens, anti-antigenic antibodies and vaccine compositions. |
