abstract The invention relates to 4- [N- (substituted) aminophenyl] -substituted 1,4-di (hydro) pyridine derivatives of the general formula wherein R₁ for an alkanoyl radical, a cycloalkanoyl radical, an arylcarbonyl or aralkylenecarbonyl radical of the general formula II, a trifluoroacetyl radical, an alkoxycarbonyl radical of the general formula III, an alkylsulfonyl or phenylsulfonyl radical general formula IV, R₂ represents a cyano group or an alkoxycarbonyl radical, R₃ represents an alkyl radical, a cycloalkyl radical or an alkoxyalkyl radical and R₄ represents an alkyl radical, including their racemic and optically active forms and mixtures, and their acid addition salts.n n n The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these compounds and medicaments containing them.
