Process for the preparation of benzotriazine oxide from 1-chloro-2-nitro-4-methylbenzene and monosodium cyanamide, via a guanidinyl compound which is then made cyclic. Azapropazone is then obtained from the oxide of benzotriazine produced by this new process. |
