| abstract |
A two-stroke internal combustion engine, in particular of the Diesel type, which comprises at least one inlet valve (10) having its seat arranged in the wall of a precombustion chamber (13) for combustion and sweeping, and at least one exhaust valve (7), is characterized in that the prechamber (13) communicates with the cylinder (1) by a transfer channel (14) whose walls are at least partially substantially parallel to the axis (2) of the cylinder and whose cross section perpendicular to this axis opens out in a substantially oblong shape tangentially to the cylinder (1). Better engine efficiency is obtained. |
