PROCESS FOR INACTIVATING BLOOD VEHICLE HEAT-SENSITIVE PATHOGENIC VIRUSES IN IgG PREPARATIONS. |
abstract |
In the process described below, a solution containing IgG, in particular a blood fraction, is purified to remove the reducing carbohydrates and then subjected to drying and to heat treatment at a temperature between 60 and 95oC for 10 to 168 hours under conditions where the residual water content in the preparation is at most 1% by weight. After heat treatment, said IgG preparations have retained their initial antigenic binding properties and a low content of complement activation aggregates, while being freed from said types of virus, such as LAV / HTLV-III or hepatitis. . |
