abstract |
A solid titanium-containing catalyst component is prepared by reacting a magnesium compound of the formula [Mg4(OR)6(R'OH)10]X, wherein X is at least one counter ion and has a total charge of -2 and R and R', which may be the same or different, are alkyl groups of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, with a halogen compound of tetravalent titanium and an electron donor. The solid catalyst component possesses excellent morphology and can be used to prepare olefin polymers with high productivity and selectivity. |
