Multilayer lining element |
abstract |
Multi-layer cladding elements - in particular car headlining for motor vehicles - must on the one hand be sufficiently formable to adapt to the shape of the roof, and on the other hand a certain mechanical stability must be maintained. The known headliners therefore have a large number of layers with a middle carrier layer made of foamed plastic. In order to achieve mechanical stability, glass carrier fleece layers with a rough surface are provided on both sides of the carrier layer, in addition to other layers.n n n The new cladding element uses a smooth film made of acrylic butadiene styrene (thermoplastic) instead of the glass fleece. This allows the construction of a car headlining with fewer layers and with less effort, while maintaining optimal deformability. The carrier layer made of foamed plastic can be foamed directly onto the double-sided foils made of acrylic butadiene styrene. |
