abstract | Semiconductor electrochemical ceramic cell (10) designed to modify the composition of the flow of exhaust gas passing through the cell and comprising harmful components. The cell is provided with a large surface porous body with a first end sealing part (12) which receives the gases, a second end sealing part (13) for the outlet of the gases and the side walls (27). essentially impermeable to gases defining the length of the cell; a solid and porous electrolyte (20) with a large surface area, which constitutes the body of the interior part of the cell (14); a gas communication channel (14) over the entire length of the cell from the first end sealing part (12) to the second end sealing part (13) is designed to transport the gases over the entire length the cell (10); a first electronically conductive area (17) and a second electronically conductive area (20), disposed in the electronically conductive area (22), said areas being disposed in an electronically opposite cell segment; a first electrode connection member (21a) located in said first conductive area (17) and an opposite second electrode connection member (25) located in said second conductive area (22), said portions sealing extremities (12, 13) being designed to be placed in gas-tight contact with a conduit which brings to the cell and eliminates from it a gas flow to be treated. |
