abstract The invention relates to an isotopic separation device or mass analysis, by a magnetic field.n n n This device comprises, in a sealed enclosure (1), an ion source (2) of a mixture of isotopes, an accelerating grid (3) and a magnetic assembly (4) surrounding the enclosure for resonance cyclotronic of one of the isotopes of the mixture, a set (6) of collection of resonant ions and a collecting plate (8) of these ions. The magnetic assembly is in the form of a helix or successive rings. The pitch between the bars or the turns of the propeller is chosen so as to take into account the growth of the Larmor radius and the initial perpendicular speed of the ions emitted by the source.n n n Application to isotopic separation and mass analysis by magnetic field.
