abstract Tool of the traction and piston-cylinder type (10) actuated by a high hydraulic pressure source (12) used for the installation of large diameter fasteners of the stamping type, comprising a lug (173) and a collar ( 175) by applying a relative axial force, the tool having a pair of piston-cylinder combinations (54, 64) arranged in tandem, the two piston-cylinder combinations being used to produce the tensile force used to stamp the collar on the lug, only one of the piston-cylinder combinations being used to generate the collar ejection force to eject the collar from the tool, at least some of the hydraulic lights being produced thanks to the tandem piston structure ( 37).
