A ready-made bait for animals with a pharmaceutical active substance such as for vaccination against rabies has a fat component and an additive for stabilizing the shape retention of the bait as carrier substance, these two proportions being selected so that the mixture can be processed in paste form and is not brittle in the application temperature range.n n n This enables the industrial production of ready-made baits in a simple manner, which can be optimally adapted to the respective animal species and their habitat in terms of temperature and humidity.n n n A particular simplification results from the use of fish meal as an additive, since it also acts as an attractant.n n n The bait is produced in such a way that this carrier substance completely surrounds an already packaged active ingredient unit in a deep-drawing mold, so that it only has to be pressed out of this carrier film in the area. |
