titleOfInvention | A method for decreasing emissions of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides when burning fuels which contain nitrogen and sulfur |
abstract | In the process described below, fuel (4) and an oxygen-containing gas (5) are introduced into a combustion reactor (1), the temperature of which is preferably between 900 and 1500 ° C., and the gases of formulated combustion are directed into a suspension reactor (2), the temperature of which is preferably between 750 and 1050oC and into which a powdery material binding the sulfur oxides is introduced so that the density of the suspension is between 1 and 200 kg / m3, the oxygen concentration in the combustion reactor (1) and the suspension reactor (2) being regulated so that their air coefficient is of the order of 0.65 to 2, after which the gases are directed into a post-treatment reactor (3) into which an oxygen-containing gas (12) is introduced in order to modulate the concentration of oxygen in the flue gases so that the concentration of oxygen residual in the flue gases (13) leaving the post-treatment reactor e st between 0.5 and 16 and preferably between 1 and 6% by volume. |
