abstract Spontaneous formation of liquid crystal microdrops by regulated phase separation from a solution of their isotropic state in a composition for producing a matrix consisting of a solid synthetic resin and for transmitting light, during the solidification of such a matrix produces a light modulating material consisting essentially of micro-droplets (11) of liquid crystals dispersed in the matrix (10).
