abstract Control device for a pressure-actuated coupling clutch in or contiguous to a reducing unit combined with a synchronization member, the clutch being actuated from the gear shift mechanism. To improve the thrust downshifting, the output speed differential of the forward drive phase is determined, by means of speed sensors (51, 52) at the turbine shaft (320) of the torque converter (3) - and after the clutch - at the input shaft (41) of the reducing unit (4), and the thrust is estimated in an electronic device (5). When shifting the gear shifting lever from neutral to one gear, a gas thrust instruction is generated by the electronic device (5) through a line (22) until a uniform speed is obtained, while taking into account a correction factor (DELTAn). The displacement for example of the control lever (71) of the injection pump (7) adjacent to the drive motor (2) is carried out by means of an actuation mechanism (90) superposed to the gas control linkage (8).
