titleOfInvention Switch contact members for vacuum switch apparatuses, and method for their production
abstract Switch contact pieces for vacuum switching devices usually consist of a base material with additions of easily evaporable components to produce a sufficiently conductive switching path during the switch-off process. An overvoltage-free switching behavior of the vacuum switching device is aimed for. This is achieved according to the invention in that the additives (12, 22, 32) are concentrated in a firmly adhering layer (14, 24, 34) covering the button (11, 21, 31) of the contact piece (1, 10, 20). Such contact pieces (10, 20, 30) can in particular be melted directly by melting the additives, by melting a separate support (22) from the additives in powder form, as granules or as a sheet or sheet metal, or else by vapor deposition of the additives (32) on the button (11, 21, 31) of a given body (10, 20, 30) from base material. A CuCr contact material is advantageously used as the base material.
