A process for producing physiologically active substances, such as a plasminogen activator selected from tPA, urokinase and single-chain pro-urokinase, by recombinant DNA technology is described. In the present process, a recombinant vector DNA having a DNA sequence therein which encodes a human physiologically active substance is transfected to established cells of human kidney origin to obtain transformed cells which produce and secrete the desired physiologically active substance. |
