A ceramic-metal composite body comprises a ceramic member (1), a ferrous metal member (2) bonded to the ceramic member, an intermediate metallic member (3) joined to the ferrous metal member (2), and an aluminum member (4) bonded to the intermediate metallic member. The intermediate member (3) is preferably aluminum, aluminum alloys, copper, copper alloys, silver and silver alloys and has a melting point which is lower than that of the ferrous metal member and equal to or higher than that of the aluminum member. The ceramic member and the aluminum member are in this way satisfactorily integrally joined through the ferrous metal member and the intermediate metallic member. |
