abstract |
Diarylguanidines can be obtained from the crude melt of the reaction of arylamines and cyanogen chloride with high purity and in good yield by dissolving the hot melt in water and extracting this solution with a mixture of at least one water-insoluble, non-polar hydrocarbon and at least one polar organic compound and from the purified aqueous solution the diarylguanidine precipitates by adding alkali hydroxide. |
