titleOfInvention Apparatus for radiography
abstract The invention concerns an apparatus for diagnostic radiography comprising a radiant source (l) (an X-ray tube), a slit (9) for controlling the X-ray beam on one side of an object body (6) and a plurality of X-ray sensor rows on the other side of the object body (6). X-rays transmitted through the body are received by the sensors and are processed on a digital basis to define an image picture of the body. The sensors are lined in a plurality of rows and are subject to continuous exposure by the X-ray beam during the scanning time for completing one image pattern. The digital image data for the body is formed during the scanning time by accumulation of signals from the X-ray sensors which define respectively the image elements. The accumulation is built up by addition of signals from X-ray sensors which come in agreement of sensing line with the scanning spot. This invention brings about improvement in sensitivity, shorter scanning time, and enhancement of resolution due to smaller intervals between the scanning lines.
