A method of producing a mono- or multilayered prosthesis material and the material hereby obtained |
abstract |
A process for producing a material with one or more layers for prostheses usable in a living organism, this material having mechanical adaptability with respect to the flexible tissues of the body and biological compatibility, comprises the following steps: (a) the preparation of a polymer solution using a mixed solvent, the solution being close to its point of precipitation; (b) coating a substrate and precipitating the polymer thereon to form a physically stable porous structure by evaporating at least a portion of the solvent portion of the mixed solvent. The invention also relates to the multilayer material for prostheses obtained by this method. |
