abstract | Color salt of a mono- or polycationic dye with the anion according to a general formula (1) or (2) [Me (XCN) 4] <2 (-)> (1) [Me (SCN) 6] <n (-)> (2) in which Me in formula (1) is the divalent zinc cation, the divalent iron cation, the divalent cobalt cation, the divalent tin cation or the divalent copper cation and Me in formula (2) for that divalent iron cation, the divalent nickel cation or the trivalent iron cation, X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom and n is the number 4 or 3, depending on the valence of the corresponding metal cation. The new color salts can be obtained, for example, from aqueous solution or suspension by reaction with the corresponding cationic dye, which has a customary anion, with a compound which gives off a metal cation Me and with an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium rhodanide or cyanate. They are used in particular in the spin dyeing of acid-modified polyacrylonitrile and its copolymers. |
