A hybridoma continuous cell line which produces a monoclonal nantibody for progesterone. The antibody produced, bound to a nsolid-support, is used to advantage in competitive progesterone assays nfor example, for mammalian body fluids, particularly for milk, whereby nestrus and pregnancy can be determined. The test may be performed with a nkit of several reagents, test tubes and a dip-stick carrying the nanti-progesterone monoclonal antibody. |
