abstract Cigarette, in particular filter cigarette, cigarette paper, in particular filter cigarette tube, each with ventilation zone (22) in the form of air passage openings (24) preferably arranged in the filter area near the tobacco receiving space. To simplify the manufacture of the ventilation zone, air passage openings (4) are provided in the filter area before attaching a porous tip paper (18), namely in the case of a filter cigarette in the filter wrapping paper (16), which is inherently airtight, and in the case of a filter cigarette sleeve in the filter (14) or that Insert filter wrapping paper (16) wrapping cigarette paper (10).
