abstract | A primer paint composition adapted for vinyl resin dispersions of high mechanical strength is described, which comprises a methacrylic resin and a phenolic resin of general formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is an allyl or alkenyl radical containing from 4 to 7 carbon atoms R2OH is a hydroxyalkyl radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms R3 is H or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms. A primer paint composition based on these resins is also described and is particularly suitable in the field of coated sheet metal. |
