titleOfInvention Moulded plastic articles with a high elasticity and adhesion, and their use
abstract Plastic moldings which have a very high proportion of a benzophenone tetracarboxylic acid tetraester, generally at least 1.5 parts by weight of this ester per part by weight of the plastic, have high elasticity and good adhesion. In the benzophenone tetracarboxylic acid tetraesters, the esterifying alcohol component is an alkanol, alkenol or alkinol each having 4 to 24 carbon atoms, preferably 6 to 20 carbon atoms. The moldings can be adhered to a substrate by pressing them onto it. The shaped bodies are preferably strands, fibers, filaments, films or foils, for example packaging foils. Preferred moldings are ion-sensitive membranes for determining the concentration of ions, which contain an ion-selective component as a further constituent for determining these ions.n n n Solutions of the shaped bodies in a liquid organic solvent can be applied to substrates and after the solvent has evaporated off, a firmly adhering elastic film remains on the substrate.
