titleOfInvention Process for fabricating glass tooling
abstract One method of making glass tooling with an exposed surface involves coating a polished surface of a glass blank with a continuous metal coating. A photoresist is applied, exposed, and developed into a desired configuration. Uncoated metal is removed by acid attack and the remaining metal forms a mask. Uncoated glass is plasma etched to expose the surface of the glass blank.
