abstract |
A process is described for the esterification of 2-methylpentanoic acid with primary or secondary alcohols with 3 to 12 carbon atoms, at temperatures from 20 to 40 ° C. in the presence of a lipase as a catalyst, in which the starting materials are 2-methylpentanoic acid and alcohol in the presence of up to 20% by weight of water can be brought into contact with a lipase which is fixed to a solid support material which is insoluble in the reaction medium. |
